Celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day

These days there are very few things we can all agree one. But that chocolate chip cookies are delicious might be one of them. They're so simple and yet so satisfying. And while there are a million iterations of the classic out there, it is really hard to mess one up! With so many things going for it, it's no wonder this cookie has its own official day. Making a Folklore Cake inspired by TSwift's album

So Folklore might just be playing on repeat in my headphones as I type this. Actually, scratch the "might". It totally is. And because I'm a baker of course my first reaction to watching the Cardigan video was "I want to make a cake inspired by this!" And then I did. Or how when your macarons rise properly it's basically like you won the lottery. Or how stacking layers of cake like Jenga and frosting and decorating it is somehow super zen no matter what it looks like to an outsider. Baking is definitely a way of life and some quotes just illustrate that perfectly. As a big fan of words, baking, and all things pretty and Instagrammable, it only made sense that I would turn those quotes into posters. I alternate these as my phone...
