You know the expression "how the sausage gets made"? Well, "how the cake gets made" is a much more pleasant story and that's the one I'm sharing today. A few weeks ago I got an email from one of my repeat customers. She was turning 30 and was supposed to be celebrating in the South of France but because of COVID (boooo) she was still in St. Pete and ready to drown her sorrows in some cake.  She wanted a cake that was inspired by the dreamy French location and sent me a picture for reference. Making Alice in Wonderland Desserts

For as long as I can remember, I've loved Alice in Wonderland. It started with the Disney movie — the scene with the flowers was always my favorite — and then later on I read the book. The idea of escaping into a magical world is just too fun to pass on so I've always had an affinity for the story. And since turning things I like into desserts is kind of what I do, it was only a matter of time until Alice in Wonderland got the treat-ment (get it?). Ok, that was awful, but I couldn't resist it! Hosting a Harry Potter Themed Pop Up

This should come as a secret to absolutely no one but I'm a huge Harry Potter dork! So for Harry Potter's birthday I decided to partner with a local bookshop and wine store here in St. Pete called Book + Bottle (which you should totally check out if you haven't already, by the way. I'd like to think it's the kind of place Hermoine where would hang out) and do a Harry Potter themed pop up.
